There will be a karaoke company managing the equipment at the restaurant on the day of the event, and contestants may all expect a professional presentation and a full musical selection. I know the karaoke places here in Seattle use Japanese VCDS and LDs I think. I dont know about videos, but I know there were Laserdiscs sold awhile back.

The Contest will be hosted in a local restaurant in Bellevue with snack buffet provided. Yeah, I highly doubt also that romaji karaoke is found anywhere. Team members will also receive individual prizes. Virtually everyone in Japan likes karaoke from high school kids to old folks. Unlike its Western counterpart, karaoke in Japan takes place with friends in a private room rather than a crowded bar, with themes ranging from the basic to the bizarre ones. Once decided, the winning team will be presented with a 2018 banner, which will then be added to a new Annual Karaoke Contest Flag that will be displayed at the event each year. A trip to Tokyo isn’t complete without a night of karaoke. Eat your heart out, knock back the fizz and get crazy with the glitter, as a glitter artist will be on hand to make sure you look like the star you are.
